The free MP3 files on this site are encoded at 128Kbps, generally considered better than FM radio quality. For most listening purposes these files are great.

But if you’d like higher quality files, and you’re unable to buy a CD, you can purchase Waking Up In August as CD-quality MP3 or Ogg Vorbis files. Like the Magnatune model, you pick the price you’d like to pay for the music. As a guideline: a beer costs $2 in my part of the world; A really good beer costs $4.
